with english being the leading language in the world with most of the earth population being able to understand it,, writing in english is really necessary if you want to adress the whole human society.
For when you talk in english,, this means that most of the people will be able to get and understand your message.. that’s why i think that blogging in english is invetible if you really care to be heard by everyone.
And to tell the truth,, i’m much better in writing in my native language (arabic) and of course more able to express myself,, nevertheless i feel that i must also speak another, more of global language.
But do the different laguages express the same ideas exactly the same,,, or let me paraphrase it as follows : can we seperate the idea from the language used to make it,, for we must actually use some language to think,, and this question in its turn leads us to another more important question :
Can our language affect the way we think? for exapmple, would a group of people who have nothing in common except speaking the same language, gain with time some special common ways of thinking related to that langauge?? If so,, then we must make sure that we learn each other’s languages to be more able to communicate,, for as shocking as it might sound in this time of advanced communications technology,, but many of our world’s problems are still caused by the fact that we fail to communicate sometimes.
As a one of many other arabic bloggers (i mean here ppl who blong in arabic, and this should not imply any special cultural or ethnic belonging),,, i feel obliged to do a part - no matter how small as long as it represents the maximum of my abilities in writing in english- in communicating with the rest of the world,, with the people who speak different languages,, and especially the people who may seem far after all these cultural and religious and ethnic and developmental differences grew to become tough barriers between us in some way,,
so i’ll try to use this blog to express myself in english,, hoping to do a good job,,
